The Story
This time the haunting is personal: the filmmaker is trying to protect his own children from a ghost that’s found its way into their home.
Verdict
A real change of pace for the series, and a welcome one. Making the stakes personal, rather than just another investigation, gives this entry more emotional weight than most of the earlier films managed. One of the more interesting turns the franchise has taken.
