The Story
A journalist chasing down her missing friend’s last steps uncovers a buried government drug program, and a disturbing radio signal that seems to be tied to it.
Verdict
I’ll be upfront: this barely counts as found footage, most of it is shot conventionally. But I still think it belongs on this list for how genuinely disturbing its ideas about government experimentation are. Ted Levine’s Hunter S. Thompson-inspired character steals every scene he’s in, and honestly carries the film more than the lead performance does. Worth watching for the atmosphere and the ideas, even if the format is a bit of a stretch.
