The Story
Three years after an experienced hiker vanishes without a trace in the Nevada desert, friends and family finally speak on camera about the disturbing truth behind his disappearance.
Verdict
I really admire how restrained this one is. It builds almost all its dread through interviews rather than jump scares, which is a harder trick to pull off than it sounds. It plays its cards close to the chest and trusts the audience to sit with the silence instead of constantly explaining itself. Not a film for everyone, but I think patient viewers will get a lot out of it.
