The Story
A real-life couple documents their project renovating an abandoned farmhouse in rural Mississippi for their social media followers, cameras rolling constantly. The nights start bringing things the footage can’t quite explain away.
Verdict
I went in expecting another disposable social-media-horror cash-in, and I’ll admit the couple’s genuine chemistry won me over more than I expected. There are some real plot holes if you think about it too hard afterward, but I didn’t see the ending coming, and that alone earns it more credit than most films in this exact subgenre manage.
