The Story
A young couple in a quiet suburban house sets up a camera in their bedroom to finally catch whatever’s been disturbing their sleep. What they record only gets more active, and more aggressive, the longer they keep filming.
Verdict
Barely any effects, almost no budget, and it still works more than a decade later. Sound design and patience carrying an entire film — most of today’s found footage horror is still, whether it knows it or not, copying this movie’s homework. A door slowly creaking open in an empty hallway has never been scarier.
