The Story
A disillusioned preacher, planning to expose exorcism as a scam once and for all, lets a documentary crew follow him to what he assumes will be just another staged performance for a struggling family.
Verdict
I really like the setup here, using a skeptical, almost cynical lead character instead of the usual devout one. Patrick Fabian sells that character well, and I think the film has more fun with the fraud angle than most possession movies bother to. It does eventually go where you’d expect a possession film to go, but that’s not a bad thing.
