The Story
A filmmaker uncovers a box of old tapes documenting two film students’ obsessive investigation into a local urban legend, and finds himself pulled into repeating the exact same investigation.
Verdict
I like the recursive structure here a lot, essentially a found footage film about people investigating other found footage, and I think it does some genuinely unique things with that idea by the second half. The first act takes a little while to find its footing, but I found myself won over once the twists started landing. An underrated pick if you haven’t come across it.
