The Story
A SWAT team raids a remote warehouse after tracking down a mysterious VHS tape, and instead finds a cult compound sitting on a whole archive of recorded horror.
Verdict
I think this is a genuinely strong return for the franchise after the long gap since the original trilogy. The wraparound segment does real work tying everything together, and Timo Tjahjanto’s contribution in particular is one of the most intense things the series has produced. Quality still swings by segment, as always, but the hit rate here is high.
