The Story
After a teenage girl drowns, her grieving family starts noticing something wrong in old home videos and photographs that shouldn’t be there, and their search for an explanation uncovers a life she never told them about.
Verdict
This is less a ghost story than a film about grief that happens to be wearing one — the family’s slow discovery of who Alice actually was hurts more than anything supernatural does. The interview format keeps everything at a careful emotional distance, which somehow makes the eventual reveals land harder, not softer. It’s the rare found-footage-adjacent film built almost entirely on stillness rather than escalation.
