The Story
Years after the disappearance that ended the earlier films, a suburban family starts noticing strange things happening after a woman and her child move in across the street.
Verdict
This is the one where I felt the formula starting to wear thin. The laptop-webcam setup is a decent update for the era, but I didn’t feel like the story moved the mythology forward much, and a lot of the scares felt like echoes of better moments from earlier films. Not a disaster, just the point where I started noticing diminishing returns.
