The Story
A family camping in North Carolina’s Brown Mountains starts recording strange lights in the sky, based on the real, decades-documented Brown Mountain Lights phenomenon, and the trip quickly turns into a fight to survive the night.
Verdict
I appreciate that this one is grounded in an actual, long-running real-world mystery rather than something invented purely for the script, which gives it a bit more weight than most family-in-the-woods alien films manage. Execution is fairly standard beyond that hook, but the real-world tie-in is worth knowing going in.
