The Story
A privately funded international crew travels to Jupiter’s icy moon Europa, searching for signs of life beneath its frozen surface. Disaster cuts off contact with Earth, and the mission’s own cameras keep recording as things slowly go wrong.
Verdict
More sci-fi drama than horror, with dread sprinkled in rather than poured on. A genuinely great effort for its lower budget — the acting is top-notch and the visuals impress far beyond what the film likely cost to make. The ending gives you a real sense of wonder, the kind you get from reading a good hard sci-fi novel rather than watching a horror movie. One of my personal favorites in found footage.
