The franchise pushes past ghosts and killers into sci-fi horror territory, chasing forbidden worlds and things that were never meant to reach Earth for its biggest, bloodiest installment yet.
Verdict
I think shifting the theme to sci-fi horror specifically was a smart move, it gives this entry a more consistent identity than some of the earlier ones that just felt like a grab-bag. Not every segment sticks the landing, but the alien-focused ones in particular are genuinely creative. A good pick if you want the franchise’s most ambitious swing.
