The Story
Three friends, about to be split up by a neighborhood demolition project, start receiving strange coded messages on their phones. Following the signal leads them to a stranded, homesick alien who needs their help getting home.
Verdict
The odd one out on this list — found footage as a family adventure rather than horror. It never really explains why any of this footage exists in the first place, and the format sometimes gets in the way of what’s otherwise a sweet, E.T.-flavored story about friendship and growing up.
