The Story
After twenty years in Washington, D.C., Mark Klein moves to a quiet house in the woods of West Virginia, hoping for some peace. To stay in touch with his OCD support group back in the city, he films regular video updates. Slowly he starts to feel that he is not as alone out there as he thought.
Verdict
A small film that works because of its main character. Mark is easy to like and easy to worry about, and his video diary makes the isolation feel real. It is slow and quiet, so do not expect jump scares every five minutes, but the creeping feeling of being watched from the trees is done well. A good one for a dark evening if you prefer atmosphere over noise.
